About Paige’s Pop-In Nanny Share

“I’ve been professionally caring for children for most of my adult life, starting in a childcare centre when I was 17. From the beginning, I learned what an enormous privilege it is to be trusted with the responsibility of caring for other people’s children. Communicating with and supporting these families is an enormous part of the job, and something I take very seriously.

Following this, I started teaching in an independent kindergarten with a focus on love, care for all living creatures and respect for children’s freedom and creativity. It was here that I began imagining what a service of my own would look like. I wanted to be able to meet the needs of busy Melbourne families by providing accessible, flexible care in home-like settings, and to do so with an ethical business model that allowed for the needs of individual children to be met and fostered. I believe in the adage that it takes a village to raise a child, and I love being able to bring that to the families I work with.

With smaller families trending, my vision is to wrap our children in the warmth of a home, with other children who become a part of their family as I broker small groups of like-minded parents with complimentary care needs and philosophies.

I respect children’s individual journeys towards increasing independence, talents and becoming who they are meant to be. Early learning best begins in a place of security and safety with peer interactions gently guided by knowledgeable adults. My considerable experience means I am comfortable and competent to partner with you as you ‘grow up’ your children. The small, boutique nature of Pop-In Nanny Share means I can often be flexible when life throws up spontaneous changes to anticipated routines, while also respecting and honouring the routines you have discovered work best for your families. Because of the ‘shared’ nature of the service, your children are also given the opportunity to learn and play with new friends in groups small enough that they never feel overwhelmed or overlooked.

I respect that it takes time to transition each new child (and parent!) before they enter a caring model, so I will visit your home several times to make sure everyone feels safe with me. It is so important that you are comfortable with me and have time to convey the things that are important to you.

Pop-In Nanny Share has proven more successful than I could have dreamed of. Since its creation in May 2017, my business has expanded to include more nannies to accommodate the growing number of families who value the philosophy of inclusion, creativity and encouragement that we provide to their children. These nannies are chosen with care to ensure the principles of Pop-In Nanny Share are not compromised: love, unconditional regard, freedom to play and explore creatively in a home environment.

I would love to talk to you about your care needs and the things that matter to you and your child today.”
